Today, Ash Wednesday, Christians around the world enter the season of Lent.

Lent calls us to stop, turn from the busyness of life- no matter how important things might seem- and enter more purposefully into a season of reflection, repentance, and the renewal of our relationship with God.

College Hill’s Ash Wednesday worship service will begin tonight at 7:00pm. Ash Wednesday invites us to shed all of our pretense, so that we might begin anew. There will be an opportunity for those desiring to receive the imposition of ashes on the forehead or hand- the ashes displacing our pride with a visible acknowledgement of the human condition we share, ‘you are dust, and to dust you will return.’ (Gen. 3:19).

Ash Wednesday launches us on our own 40-day Lenten journey, a journey which, through the grace of our Lord, leads us to Resurrection.

All are welcome.
